Count of Mice Born or Weaned

 

You can easily pull together the total number of mice born or weaned within a specified time period using the SoftMouse Mouse Filter. This is useful information when trying to calculate total numbers for your protocols or just for your own monthly number counts:

  1. Go to the Mouse List
  2. Open the Filter
  3. In the Filter Mode drop down, choose:
    • Select All if you want to see all mice that were born, including those that did not survive to wean age
    • Select Weaned Mice - if you are only interested in the mice that successfully survived to wean age
  4. Date Ranges:
    • Use the Date of Birth range if interested in total mice born: input the range you are interested in, e.g. all mice born between Jan 1 2015 and Dec 31 2015
    • Use the Date of Wean range if interested in total mice weaned: input the range you are interested in, e.g. all mice weaned between Jan 1 2015 and Dec 31 2015
  5. Click Filter
  6. At the top right of the list, you will see the total number of mice born / weaned regardless of their current state, ie regardless of whether they are currently dead or alive.
