How to grant Create/Transfer Access

NOTE: You must be the administrator of your SoftMouse.NET account to grant Access Permissions.

You can grant:

  • Create Access to allow selected or all users to create records under another user's colony.
  • Transfer Access to allow selected or all users to transfer the ownership of records between users.

Here are the steps:

  1. Click the Home icon button at the far left in the top menu
  2. Click the Permissions menu, then click the Create/Transfer submenu
  3. In the Choose a User drop-down list, select either:
    • All - to grant the same create/transfer permissions on all users' data at once
      OR
    • A specific user - to select the user you want to grant create/transfer permissions on
  4. In the Choose who can create records section, there are 2 options when selecting who can create/transfer records under the above selected user's colony:
    • If you want all users to be able to create and transfer records, in "Input settings for All Users", select Yes for both drop down lists and click Apply to All --- leave No in the second drop-down list if you only want to grant Create access without Transfer
    • If you want only some users to be able to create and transfer records, select Yes in the first and second drop-down list next to the user's name(s) to input individual settings --- leave No in the second drop-down list next to the user's name if you only want to grant Create Access without Transfer
  5. Click Save

Done!

Note: If you choose all in step 3 above, and input yes and yes in step 4 and save, then the page will refreshand all drop-downs will set back to No. Don’t worry, your permission changes did actually save.
