Order States Explained

The State of an order changes automatically in the database as you make the following updates to your order records:

1. When you create an Order, the State of the Order is set to "Pending"
   
   
2. When you confirm an Order, the State of the Order changes to "Ordered"
   
   
3. When you pre-receive an Order, it is possible to then prepare the facility for the order’s arrival up to one month before the expected arrival date. Pre-Recieveing your Order means that the animals have been added to the SoftMouse.NET database before they have arrived. This allows you to prepare the cages and print out the Cage Cards. The state of the Order then changes to "Pre-received" when you click the Pre-Receive button and start the pre-receive workflow. The animals and cages from the Pre-received order are then entered into the database under the "Ordered" State.
   
   
4. When you receive an Order, the following occurs simultaneously:
   
   1. The State of the Order changes to "Received,"
   2. The State of the Animals is changed to "Mating" or "Stock" 
   3. The State of the Cages is changed to "Active."
